We focus on delivering quality HVAC services to commercial and industrial clients, ensuring efficient service execution and customer satisfaction. Our operations are primarily in the Sydney Metropolitan area, with occasional interstate work.

Role Summary:

Service Technician is to undertake maintenance and breakdown services for an assigned group of clients and buildings.

1. Standard Duties

  • Conduct regular scheduled maintenance for clients in accordance with their requirements.
  • Attend break-down service calls anywhere in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area (7:30am-4:00pm Monday to Friday) as scheduled.
  • Be on-call (24hrs) for 7 days every 4-6 Weeks to attend after hours call outs.
  • Provide information to the Technical Manager on parts and job details for the quoting of repair or replacement work.
  • Provide service reports and in a timely manner for invoicing.
  • Provide feedback to the Service Manager regarding client needs and potential work leads.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sound technical advice to clients.
  • Provide lead on potential CAPEX works to Service Manager for follow up with Client.
  • Following maintenance provide Technical Manager identified issues for quoting.
  • Always represent RMPL in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Adhere to RMPL policies, procedures, SWMS and other WHS directives on site.
  • Do not introduce or knowingly expose yourself to undue WHS risk.
  • Maintain professional accreditations, licences and skill levels by undertaking professional development
  • Advise service manager of short falls or potential training opportunities for apprentices that may arise while carrying out daily tasks.

Key Requirements

  • Cert III in Refrigeration and Air conditioning.
  • NSW Services NSW Supervisors Certificate or Contractor Licence.
  • ARCTICK gas handling licence
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Basic understanding of WHS duties and proven ability to work safely in the field.

  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

Employment Terms & Conditions

  • The successful candidate will be employed under an Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA).
  • Standard leave entitlements, including four weeks of annual leave, 10 days of sick leave, and long service leave as per Australian employment regulations.
